Peaceful Playgrounds Foundation, Inc. was founded to help foundations and corporations who desired to donate physical activity programs to schools, churches, and other organizations across the country. We provide supplies, support, training, and activity kits to organizations after natural disasters.
We are an award-winning physical activity program for children. Research shows that implementing our program benefits children by reducing playground injuries, decreasing bullying, and reducing conflict. Our programs have reached thousands of students and have helped develop their interpersonal skills. This is accomplished all during physical activity!
Foundation Legal Description
Peaceful Playgrounds Foundation, Inc. provides a public service in human health through physical activity and wellness programming creating a material positive impact on society and the environment.
We were an early partner organization of Let’s Move, an organization championed by former First Lady Michelle Obama. During President Obama’s second term in office the focus became converting support for private funding of physical activity and nutrition programming from federal funding to private and corporate funding of these programs.
In 2016, the Peaceful Playgrounds Foundation was formed to reach a larger audience more efficiently and support the community goals of corporations. This made sense as various corporations approached Peaceful Playgrounds Inc. about partnerships for this purpose.
Peaceful Playgrounds Foundation is entertaining corporate participation with philosophies that match our commitment to creating environments that encourage the next generation of youth toward healthy lifestyles.
